CASE REPORT

A victim was scammed when she became involved in a giveaway sponsored by a major exchange that she saw on YouTube. The scammer somehow impersonated the exchange and got access to her wallet. She lost over $50,000 in a major coin. The police and the exchange were useless and non-co-operative, ignoring requests for help or offering a refund. This mother-daughter team were counting on this money because the daughter was diagnosed with cervical cancer and this money was so important for her future. She was diagnosed prior to being scammed, that’s why they were interested in the giveaway promotion in the first place, they were in need.
